Dorothy Margaret Seyer, 82, of Jackson died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 30, 1922, at Cape Girardeau, to of Ferdinand and Louise Roth Schaefer. Shortly after her birth, her mother passed away and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Mary Schaefer. She and Lawrence Seyer were married Feb. 12, 1947. He died Nov. 13, 1974...

Dorothy Margaret Seyer, 82, of Jackson died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 30, 1922, at Cape Girardeau, to of Ferdinand and Louise Roth Schaefer. Shortly after her birth, her mother passed away and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Mary Schaefer. She and Lawrence Seyer were married Feb. 12, 1947. He died Nov. 13, 1974.

Seyer was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include 10 sons, Lawrence M. and wife Ellen Seyer, John E. Seyer, both of Cape Girardeau, Thomas F. and wife Joyce Seyer, David W. Seyer, Richard A. and wife Debbie Seyer, Paul W. Seyer, Michael A. and wife Cindy Seyer, Gary A. and wife Nancy Seyer, William J. and wife Bev, all of Jackson, Gerald J. and wife Lori Seyer of Benton, Mo.; three daughters, Mary H. Tolbert, Katherine L. and husband Richard Mayfield, Patricia A. and husband Mike Reed, all of Jackson; two sisters, Virginia Schwab and Rosemary Robert, both of Cape Girardeau; 23 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Church. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church. Monsignor Edward Eftink will officiate, with burial at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception School Building Fund.

Arrangements are by Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home of Jackson.
