Dorothy M. Seyer, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of George and Minnie Volz Schrock. She and Edwin W. Seyer were married May 12, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died May 4, 1985.
Mrs. Seyer had worked at International Shoe Co. and at West Mount Motel. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include four grandsons, Ronnie L. "Butch" Seyer of Chaffee, Mo., Tim S. Seyer of Allenville, Mo., Ryan A. Seyer of Cape Girardeau, Luke J. Seyer of Fruitland; three great-grandchildren, Gavin Seyer, Shayna Seyer, Elleigh Seyer; three great-stepgrandchildren, Michelle Bock, Tony Bock, Anna Bock; three great-great-stepgrandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn R. Seyer of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie G. Seyer, Nov. 24, 1997.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
