Dorothy L. Sebek, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born March 9, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leo and Geraldine Whiteacer Brooks. She and Albert A. Sebek were married June 25, 1938, in Cape Girardeau. He died July 3, 2000.
Sebek had been a receptionist and assistant for Dr. Oehler, and had been a beautician. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Council of Catholic Women and Saint Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.
She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Sebek of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Robert Brooks of Garden Grove, Calif., and Don Brooks of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at St. Vincent's Church from 6:30 p.m. to service time Monday.
Funeral Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Charles Prost officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cape County Memorial Park.
Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
