JACKSON, Mo. -- Dorothy M. Schlimme, 82, of Jackson died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000.
Friends may call today, Oct. 20, from 3-8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Mrs. Schlimme was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Jackson, daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Statler Cobble. She and Clarence Schlimme were married Sept. 3, 1938. He passed away Sept. 15, 1993.
Mrs. Schlimme is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Frances Schlimme of Wildwood, Mo.; two grandsons, Gregory Schlimme of San Diego, Calif., and Rob Schlimme and wife Susan of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by an infant twin brother.
Mrs. Schlimme was a lifelong member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and also a member of Friendship Circle. In 1980 she retired from the former Schaper's IGA, where she worked in the bakery department.
