Dorothy Sadler

Dorothy M. Sadler, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Bollinger County, to Elmer and Lucy Rowe Eaker. She and Donald C. Sadler were married June 8, 1942, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death July 10, 2009.

Dorothy was a 60-year member of Red Star Baptist Church. She loved decorating her home and taking care of her flowers.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Kathy) Sadler of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Geraldine Ross of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Allison (Ryan) Davis of Cape Girardeau and Greg (Kate) Sadler of Kirkwood, Missouri; and five great-grandchildren, Raleigh, Brogan, Grayson and Sarah McKinley Davis, and Ellinore Sadler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald C. Sadler; a brother and three sisters.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rick Crump officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
