MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Dorothy S. Rice, 62, of Mound City died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Meridian Manor Nursing Home in Mounds, Ill.

She was born March 19, 1938, at Mounds, daughter of Kenneth and Flossie Glenn Helms.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mound City.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Rice of Mound City; three sons, James Ray Butler of Pell City, Ala., Kevin Drew Butler of Mound City and Cory Rice of Cairo, Ill.; two daughters, Kim Bone of Mound City and Christina Cooper of Roseville, Calif.; two sisters, Carolyn Cline of Anna, Ill., and Julie Suiter of Kentucky; a brother, Everett Helms of Cairo; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City from 5-8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Polley will officiate. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
