Dorothy Marie Quade, 81, of Gordonville died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at her home.
She was born July 22, 1930, in Kelso, Mo., to Ambrose and Francis Kirchdoerfer Brucker.
She and Clyde E. Quade were married Oct. 16, 1948, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. They lived several years in the Allenville area from 1948 to 1975 and later moved to the Gordonville area.
Mrs. Quade was a longtime factory worker, having spent many years working in shoe factories, including Sports Specialty and Florsheim in Chaffee, Mo., and Florsheim in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson and a former member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Dutchtown.
Dorothy loved spending time with her family and in her garden.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde E. Quade of Gordonville; daughter, Joyce (Jordan) Needham of Fremont Hills, Mo.; son, Larry (Susan) Quade of the Dutchtown/Allenville area; grandchildren, Amy (Richie) Swain, Julie (Kevin) Hulbert and Jordan of Needham, III.; great-grandchildren, Carsyn Swain, Joshua Swain, Ayla Hulbert and Kynzie Hulbert; sister, Pauline Uhrhan of Chaffee, Mo.; brother, Lawrence (Betty) Brucker of Delta; sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Brucker, Jessie Quade, Ruby Cook and Patsy Morgan; and 27 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and two brothers, Clarence and Earl Brucker.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel with a rosary at 7 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Harth officiating.
Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Jackson or Alzheimer's Association.
