Dorothy Mae Nobles, 93, of Scott City passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Chaffee, Missouri, to the late Ernest and Ida Mae Williams Crump. She married Earl H. Nobles on May 19, 1944, and he preceded her in death May 28, 2001.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She belonged to First Baptist Church of Chaffee. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3127 of Chaffee.

Survivors include two sons, David (Claudia) Nobles of Batesville, Arkansas, and Robert E. (Ruth) Nobles of Columbus, Mississippi; a daughter, Lori Ann (Kenny) Klipfel of Kelso, Missouri; a brother, Harold Crump of Chaffee; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four sisters; two brothers; and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
