Dorothy Minton

Dorothy Louise Minton, 80, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Monticello House.

She was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Walter and Emma Kahnert Kieninger. She and Glen "Jumbo" Minton were married June 28, 1947. He died June 25, 1987.

Minton was a graduate of Jackson High School. She retired in 1987 from International Shoe Co. in Jackson.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Lori Bodenschatz of Jefferson City, Mo., Heather Minton and Michael Minton of Jackson; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home today from 1 p.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
