Dorothy Marion McDonald, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at the Arbors in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Wittenberg, Missouri, to Gerhard and Josephine Kassel Weber. She and Clyde "Mac" McDonald Jr. were married May 31, 1958, in Altenburg, Missouri.

Dorothy was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. She attended Southeast Missouri State University. She worked at Southwestern Bell 25 years and was a member of Telephone Pioneers. She was also secretary/treasurer of McDonald Co. 30 years.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Clyde "Mac" McDonald Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a son, David (Sherri) McDonald of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Susan (Clifton) Allee of Cape Girardeau, Julie Greaser of Benton, Arkansas, and Marti (Wade) Hartle of Jackson; two brothers, Gilbert (Marilyn) Weber of Altenburg and Floyd (Betty) Weber of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Devin (Heather) Wingo and Tara Allee of Cape Girardeau, Trevor (Shelby) Allee of Jackson, Tessa Allee and Stuart (Andrea) Greaser of Cape Girardeau; and four great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Joslyn Wingo, Carter and Eloise Allee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Dehne officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or St. Andrew Lutheran Church (Seconds Meal Fund).
