ANNA, Ill. -- Dorothy M. Dexter, 78, of Anna, died Monday, July 12, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 3, 1914, in Flint, Mich., daughter of Jesse E. and Doretha Anderson McLeod. She and Roy B. "Brownie" Dexter were married Feb. 14, 1934. He died Dec. 10, 1987.
Dexter was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church near Ullin.
Survivors include four sons, Gerald Dexter of Montgomery, Ronald Dexter of Palm Springs, Calif., James Dexter of Jonesboro, Richard Dexter of Anna; a daughter, Karen Snell of Johnston City; four sisters, Eleanor Hamilton, Evelyn Nicola and Barbara Brock of Flint, Peggy Smith of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two brothers, Carl McLeod of Riverdale, Calif., Donald McLeod of Palm Harbor; eight grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Anna. The Rev. Beth Tickner will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
