SCOTT CITY -- Dorothy Josephine James, 80, of Scott City, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born April 19, 1911, in St. Louis, daughter of John Patrick and Mary Reingier O'Connor. She married Lynn James Oct. 2, 1929. He died March 10, 1990.
James was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, UTU Ladies Auxiliary, and was a former 10th District Democratic committeewoman.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Irene James of Clayton; two sisters, Laverne Foege of Mexico, Mo., Florence LaCroix of Dupo, Ill.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Roger Leveillee will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here after 5 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 8.
