Dorothy Marie Johnson, 89, of Delta died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
She was born Dec. 30, 1915, at Allen-ville, daughter of Robert Newton and Myrtle Mae Byrne Amos. She and Walter Schwepker were married in 1936. He died Jan. 20, 1953. She later married Homer Johnson, who also preceded her in death.
Johnson retired from housekeeping at the former Chaffee General Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, WMU, and worked in the church nursery many years.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Schwepker of Blomeyer, Mo., Jack Johnson of Delta; three brothers, James Amos of Kalamazoo, Mich., Max and Nelson Amos of Jackson; two sisters, Lois Eichhorn of Cape Girardeau, Mary Dannenmueller of Chaffee; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, a sister, and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Eric Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.
