BELL CITY, Mo. -- Dorothy Ann Hart, 64, of Bell City died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 3, 1939, in Red Rock, Okla., daughter of Oliver and Dorothy May Pickens Young. She first married Doyle Colbert, who preceded her in death. She later married James Welker, who also preceded her in death. She and Harold Hart were married in 1988...

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Dorothy Ann Hart, 64, of Bell City died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 3, 1939, in Red Rock, Okla., daughter of Oliver and Dorothy May Pickens Young. She first married Doyle Colbert, who preceded her in death. She later married James Welker, who also preceded her in death. She and Harold Hart were married in 1988.

Hart was secretary for Schott Farms, had been a construction worker and truck driver. She was secretary of Pike Township.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sonika Spears of Advance, Mo.; two stepsons, Kenneth Welker of Advance, Rick Hart of Alts, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Riker of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Mike Young of Brownwood, Mo.; three sisters, Betty Thompson of Broken Arrow, Okla., Flora Johnson of Fort Smith, Ark., Becca Gregory of Brownwood; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Billy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery at Bell City.
