Dorothy Mae Hahn, 91, of Cape Girardeau died on her deceased husband's birthday, Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Grand Tower, Illinois, to Fred and Eugenia Stone Easterly. She and Robert James Hahn were married Jan. 5, 1952, at Chester, Illinois. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2014.
Dorothy was a graduate of Chester (Illinois) High School.
She spent her adult life as a homemaker for her husband and five children.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was active with her bridge club, birthday club and tennis group. She also volunteered at the Saint Francis Medical Center gift shop.
Dorothy had a good rapport with the staff at Chateau Girardeau and with many friends, and as such, was well liked as a confidant.
Survivors include two sons, John S. (Beverly) Hahn of Mosinee, Wisconsin, and Timothy J. (Sue) Hahn of Wildwood, Missouri; three daughters, Kathleen A. (Thomas Boston) Pitts of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Angela R. (Tom) Jackson of Parrish, Florida, and Elizabeth M. Hahn of Ellisville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jessica Carlton, Olivia Brown, Eric Hahn, Melissa Loquasto, Daniel Hahn, Nicholas Barwick and Andrew Barwick; and great-grandchildren, Jansyn, Gabriella, Christian, Colton, Decker, Francine, Cooper, Madelyn Rose and Willow Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one great-grandchild, Adam; one brother; and four sisters.
Services will be private for the family at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
