PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Sister Dorothy Feltz, 93, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at Anna House in Bridgeton, Mo.
She was born May 26, 1910, in Perryville, daughter of Lawrence and Katherine Lukefahr Feltz.
She was a member of the West Central Province of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.
Following her 1927 graduation from St. Vincent's School, she entered the Community of the Daughters of Charity and began her postulatum at St. Joseph Hospital in Alton, Ill. She earned a bachelor's degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, La., and was an elementary and secondary teacher at several schools in Louisiana, Illinois, Alabama and Missouri. In 1985, she began her ministry of prayer at Marillac Provincial House and continued this at Anna House until her death.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Because she donated her body to science, there will be no wake.
A Mass will be at 5 p.m. Jan. 5 at St. Anne's Chapel.
