SIKESTON -- Dorothy Mae Evans, 65, of Sikeston died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Lakeland, Fla., daughter of C.L. and Vivian Raymer. She and Emmett Evans were married July 17, 1982.
Evans was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Joe Lowery of Malden; seven daughters, Debbie Taylor of Sikeston, Mary Bissel of New Madrid, Alveda Barger and Alfreda Gonzalez of Eldorado Springs, Irene Cummins of Republic, Vickie Young of Springdale, Ark., Renee Mooneyham of Springfield; her mother of Big Sandy, Tenn.; two brothers, John Raymer of Glendale Heights, Ill., Dale Raymer of Troy, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, a son, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Russell Rice officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett.
