DOROTHY DOWD HOWARD

CHAFFEE -- Dorothy Dowd Howard, 70, of Palm Desert, Calif., formerly of Chaffee, died Friday, July 23, 1993, at the family home.

She was born Oct. 3, 1922, at Hayti, Mo., daughter of Sidney L. and Sarah Rafferty Dowd.

She married Calvin Howard in 1965.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Palm Desert, Calif.

Survivors include her husband; and four brothers, Sidney Dowd Jr. of Pineville, La., J.D. Dowd of New Madrid, Ronald Dowd and Ray Dowd of Chaffee.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with the Rev. Maurice Eagan officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
