DOROTHY COTNER

JACKSON -- Funeral service for Dorothy Cotner of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Joe McCullough will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Cotner, 69, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 18, 1927, near Oriole, daughter of Robert Loren and Addie McCormick Humes. She and Lee Cotner were married June 8, 1946, at Jackson.

Cotner worked 26 years at Lee-Rowan Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Edith Nance of Jackson, Donna Schreiner of Gordonville; a son, Douglas Cotner of Jackson; a brother, Leroy Humes of Jackson; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
