Dorothy Cockrell

Dorothy Lee Cockrell, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Detroit, daughter of Walter and Gothie Smith. She and Robert L. Cockrell were married Sept. 6, 1952, in Chicago. He died Oct. 28, 1996.

Dorothy was a loving mother and wife.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Cockrell of Cape Girardeau, Nancy Kuna of Crown Point, Ind., and Susan Kuna of Fairhope, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Cockrell.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Sue Willbur officiating.

Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
