ORAN, Mo. — Dorothy May Anderson, 72, of Oran died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
She was born Oct. 21, 1936, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Bill and Donna Ester Tankersley Cook. She and Jewell "Cotton" Anderson were married June 24, 1961. He died April 20, 1991.
Anderson was a member of Victory Life Center United Pentecostal Church in Oran.
Survivors include two sons, Jim and Bill Anderson of Oran; a daughter, Connie White of Chaffee; a brother, Ray Cook of Oran; two sisters, Shirley Kitchen of Oran, Judy Henson of Bell City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Aaron McGranahan and Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery.
