Dorman Mayberry, 90, of Sedgewickville died Friday, July 5, 2024, at Stockhoff Nursing Home.
He was born March 19, 1934, in Ozark County to William Ernest and Rose Viola Driskell Mayberry. He and Shirley Ann Wilfong Mayberry were married July 28, 1956. She preceded him in death May 16, 2016.
He was construction superintendent for Penzel Construction.
Dorman liked fried chicken and going to Suzie's Kitchen in Patton. He enjoyed hanging around Sedgewickville, camping and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with family.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly (Denny) Whitener; seven grandchildren, Barbie Hamm, Jennifer Kirkpatrick, Michelle Meyers, Jimmy Whitener, Misty Howard, Brad Mayberry Jr. and Brittney Perry; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Dorman was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Bradley Mayberry; daughter-in-law, Ena Mayberry; two great-grandsons, Tyler Hamm and Matthew Halpin; five brothers, Olen, Oren, Paul, Cleon and Haskell Mayberry; and two sisters, Betty Shipley and Olive Shipley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Patton Cemetery in Patton.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Patton Cemetery.
