DORIS YARBROUGH

CAIRO, Ill. -- Doris Yarbrough, 81, of Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at St. Francis Nursing Home in Memphis.

She was born Dec. 20, 1916, in Carbondale, daughter of Everett and Mary Helms Watson. She married Dr. Charles L. Yarbrough, who died in 1983.

Yarbrough had been the office manager in her husband's medical office. Formerly of Cairo, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of Egyptian Country Club in Mounds.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Powers of Germantown, Tenn.; two sons, Stephen Yarbrough of Carbondale, Kent Yarbrough of Lakewood, Colo.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time.
