Doris J. Roll, 81, of Manchester, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The daughter of Harlan and Hazel Steeg Fornkohl, she was born June 18, 1933, in Cape Girardeau. She and Dr. Vincent P. Roll were married Aug. 6, 1955, at St. John's Church in Clayton, Missouri...

Doris J. Roll, 81, of Manchester, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

The daughter of Harlan and Hazel Steeg Fornkohl, she was born June 18, 1933, in Cape Girardeau. She and Dr. Vincent P. Roll were married Aug. 6, 1955, at St. John's Church in Clayton, Missouri.

She had been an X-ray technician at St. Louis County Hospital. Doris was a member of Trinity Christian Center in Lawrenceburg and loved Bible studies as well as reading the Bible daily. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, planting flowers and camping with family.

Those surviving who will honor Doris' memory include her husband of over 58 years, Dr. Vincent P. Roll of Manchester; children, Debora A. Lumley of Loveland, Ohio, Michael C. Roll of Sunman, Indiana, Mark V. Roll of Bright, Indiana, Mary M. Bessler and David F. Roll of Manchester, and Jeffery P. Roll of St. Leon, Indiana; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Ann Hunley of Covington, Kentucky.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Meyer.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at Trinity Christian Center, 18687 Pribble Road, Lawrenceburg.

The funeral will be at noon today at the center, with Cory Potts officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman.

The family requests memorial donations to the Mission Fund at Trinity Christian Center.
