BLODGETT, Mo. -- Doris Riley, 75, of Blodgett died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Portageville, Mo., to John E. and Ethel Beaird Long. She and Dean Riley were married July 12, 1954, in Booneville, Miss.

Riley was a member of Blodgett Baptist Church. She was a seamstress at the Accent Shop 15 years, and then was a hostess and cashier at Lambert's Cafe 16 years before retiring.

Survivors include her husband; four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Gail Riley and Donald and Geri Riley of Blodgett, Jeffery and Beverly Riley of Benton, Mo., Gregory and Rhonda Riley of New Hamburg, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike Glastetter of New Hamburg, Pamela and Larry Gates of Benton.

Also two brothers, John Long of Aurora, Ill., Richard Long of Johnson City, Tenn.; five sisters, Freda Williams of Harrisburg, Ill., Shirley DeWitt of Sikeston, Mo., Brenda Manker of Murray, Ky., Diane Ledbetter of Sikeston, Sherry June Howell of New Madrid, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an adopted son, Bob Strickland; four brothers, Bobby, Ronnie, Frankie and Charles Long; and a grandson, Joshua Deke Sparks.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with a brother, the Rev. Richard Long, officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Sparks, Michael Glastetter II, Donnie, Jacob, Michael Riley II, Justin and Zane Riley.
