CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Doris Mae Owens, 93, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born May 16, 1924, in Falmouth, Kentucky, to the late Andrew and Mamie Heilmann. She married James Edward Owens in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on June 5, 1943, and he preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2005, after 62 years of marriage.
Doris was a retired factory worker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.
She is survived by two sons, James (Saundra) Owens of Chaffee and Jack Owens of Gordonville; three grandchildren, Kim (Bill) Boitnott and Gary (Bobbie) Owens, both of Chaffee, and Candi (Gary) Goins of Anna, Illinois; and six great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, a sister and three brothers.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
