ANNA, Ill. -- Doris Myers, 82, of Wolf Lake, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1991, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 16 1909, at Wolf Lake, daughter of George and Mina Hawkins Trainer.
She married L. Cecil Myers on Dec. 28, 1940. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, George Patrick Myers, of Wolf Lake; two sisters, Jewel Choate of Moline, Ill. and Wanda Kunce of Murphysboro; brothers, Dr. Curtis L. Trainer, Unionville, Ind. and Cecil G. Trainer of Morton Grove, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Myers was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church north of Wolf Lake, where she taught Sunday school several years. She was a retired school teacher, having taught 45 years in Union County, including several years at Wolf Lake Grade School.
She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, with bachelor and masters degrees.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Galilee Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Williams officiating. Interment will be in Walker Hills Cemetery at Grand Tower.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman at Anna Funeral Home at Anna until service time.
