Doris Marie Grebe, 87, of Jackson passed away peacefully into Jesus' loving arms Monday, July 27, 2015, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born April 19, 1928, in Oak Ridge, daughter of Walter H. and Freda Barks Martin. She first married Freeman Henson, who passed away in September 1953. From this union, two daughters were born. She later married Louis Grebe, who preceded her in death in June 1988.
Doris was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, where she had taught Sunday school and was a G.A. leader. She also was a former Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was employed 10 years at the former Lichtenegger Finer Foods in Jackson and then worked for Associated Natural Gas in Jackson, retiring after 22 years.
Loving survivors are her daughters, Janet (David) Kirkpatrick of Fletcher, Missouri, and Donna (Dallas) Seabaugh of Jackson; four grandchildren, Keith (Cindy) Kirkpatrick and Kevin (Tarrah) Kirkpatrick of Fletcher and Scott Seabaugh and Staci (Kyle) Glass of Jackson; six great-grandsons, David and John Kirkpatrick of Fletcher and Austin Seabaugh, Rowen, Wyatt and Calen Glass of Jackson; and four sisters, Wanda Schweer, Ella Dee Keith and Shirley (Bill) Adam, all of Jackson, and Karen Wooley of Orange, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant grandson, Darren Seabaugh.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church of Jackson.
