ANNA, Ill. -- Doris G. Gossett, 90, of Anna died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 1, 1910, in Chipley, Fla., daughter of Linnaus and Oma Helton Richardson. She and Robert Otis Gossett were married March 12, 1929, in Chicago. He died April 3, 1990...

ANNA, Ill. -- Doris G. Gossett, 90, of Anna died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 1, 1910, in Chipley, Fla., daughter of Linnaus and Oma Helton Richardson. She and Robert Otis Gossett were married March 12, 1929, in Chicago. He died April 3, 1990.

Gossett was a former board member of Sunshine Inn Senior Citizens Center in Anna. She had been active in several senior citizens groups in Southern Illinois.

Survivors include a son, Roger Gossett of Vienna; a daughter, Connie Dodson of Marion; a sister, Docia Buckrucker of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
