PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Doris M. Eddleman, 91, of Perryville passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, at her home with family by her side.
She was born July 16, 1921, in Perryville, daughter of Daniel A. and Theresa Pourney Gorman. She and Odell J. Eddleman were married April 3, 1945. He preceded her in death May 3, 1986.
Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include seven daughters, Diana M. Beeson of Jackson, Joan (Tom) Summers of St. Joseph, Mo., Sandra (Richard) Brown of Spring, Texas, Bonnie (Mike) Schnurbusch of Perryville, Karen Mendrala of Leawood, Kan., Lois (Kevin) Schade of Cape Girardeau and Tina (Tim) Kobs of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Roger (Gina) Eddleman of Memphis, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen (Annette) L'Hote.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell J. Eddleman; four sisters, Irene Carroll, Virginia Cissell, Vivian Ernst and Margaret Kahdeman; a brother, Meredith Gorman; and two sons-in-law, David G. Beeson and Donald Mendrala.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monda, and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Vincent de Paul Education Endowment Fund or Southeast Hospice.
