SIKESTON -- Dora Mae Wood, 67, of Sikeston, died Monday, July 17, 1995, in Sikeston. She was born July 12, 1928, in Lambert, Miss., daughter of Felton and Annie Henderson. Wood was a machine operator at National Lock Co. 22 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church and its choir, and Sunday School treasurer...

SIKESTON -- Dora Mae Wood, 67, of Sikeston, died Monday, July 17, 1995, in Sikeston.

She was born July 12, 1928, in Lambert, Miss., daughter of Felton and Annie Henderson.

Wood was a machine operator at National Lock Co. 22 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church and its choir, and Sunday School treasurer.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Blissett of Oran; a brother, R.T. Wood of Sikeston; a sister, Katherine Wood of West Helena, Ark., and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Beams of Heaven Funeral Home in Sikeston from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest Church, with Elder Michael Blissett and the Rev. Sylvester Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Smith's Westend Cemetery at Sikeston.
