Funeral service for Dora Louise Delzer of Tehachapi, Calif., was held Oct. 6 at First Baptist Church there. The Rev. Marvin Anderson officiated, with burial in Tehachapi Public Cemetery-Eastside.
Wood Family Funeral Service in Tehachapi was in charge of arrangements.
Delzer, 82, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995, in Tehachapi.
She was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Menno, S.D.
Delzer had been a resident of Kern County, Calif., since 1939. She was a charter member of Grace Reformed Church in Bakersfield, Calif., and Kern County Grange. She was a waitress 25 years at Trusty's Restaurant in Tehachapi, which is now Kelcy's.
She was active in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the senior citizens lunch program.
Delzer had spent a great deal of time in Cape Girardeau during the past 17 years.
Survivors include a son, Wally Delzer of Lebanon, Ore.; five daughters, LaVonne Booth and Phyllis Robinson of Tehachapi, Rose Schaar of Carson City, Nev., Leola Walbrochl of Mathis, Texas, Charlotte Herr of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Gotthilf "Bud" Haisck of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a foster sister, Caroline Stroud of Bakersfield; a foster brother, Edwin Preszler of Bakersfield; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
