SCOTT CITY -- Dora Josephine Germain, 88, of Scott City, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 12, 1903, in Oklahoma, daughter of George David and Agnes Ahner Wolfe. She married George Jules Germain Jr. Nov. 2, 1935, at Ancell. He died Nov. 27, 1985.
Germain was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church, where she was a longtime Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was a leader of Illmo 4-H Club, served on Scott County 4-H Council, was a volunteer for Illmo Well Baby Clinic, and member of Scott City VFW Auxiliary 6407.
Survivors include a son, James Germain of Haughton, La.; two daughters, Dora Werner of Cape Girardeau, Betty Walters of Jackson; a sister, Josephine Staebel of Cahokia, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
