SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Dora E. Grueneberg of Scott City will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eisleben Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Sarrault will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today, and Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.

Grueneberg, 73, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 12, 1926, in Flomaton, Ala., daughter of Vergie Faircloth. She and Robert Gene Grueneberg Sr. were married Feb. 7, 1942, in Milton, Fla. He died May 25, 1994.

Grueneberg was a member of Eisleben Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert Grueneberg Jr. of Scott City; six daughters, Dora Jean Poinsett of Florissant, Carol Grueneberg of Apache Junction, Ariz., Linda Matvy of Knoxville, Tenn., Emily Fuemmeler and Cindy Raines of Cape Girardeau, and Julie Grueneberg of Scott City.

Also surviving are three sisters, Barbara Posey of Bratt, Fla., Clara Cobb of Atmore, Ala., Lena Taylor of Montgomery, Ala.; a brother, Dover Daniels of Atmore; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
