Dora Lee "Momma Dora" Fisher, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Feb. 14, 1934, in Los Angeles, daughter of Angelo Charles and Beatrice Barbara Iovino Grandi.
Dora was a self-employed child care provider. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City and served on the parish council, Home and School Board, Council of Catholic Women, church choir and taught the Parish School of Religion. She attended Cursillo retreats and Teens Encounter Christ.
Survivors include a son, Jim Flanner of Marble Hill, Mo.; three daughters, Jeanine Flanner of Scott City, Tracy Bouslog of Maryland Heights, Mo., Terri Fisher-Reed of Ballwin, Mo.; a sister, Marie Payne of Burnsville, Miss.; five grandchildren, Keefer Daniels, Kayne, Bevin and Amber Flanner, Jude Reed; three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Eli and Isiah.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Oliver Clavin at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Joseph Catholic School.
