Donna Gardner

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Donna Catherine Gardner, 70, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at her home.

Born on March 3, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of Paul Edward and Pauline Virginia Counts Wood. She married Edward T. Gardner on July 26, 1966. He preceded her in death Oct. 11, 2012.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and homemaker all her life and was of the Assemblies of God faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Ranee (Mark) Grindstaff of Marble Hill; a son, Edward (Kathy) Gardner of Houston; four grandchildren, Trey and Shane Gardner and Thomas and Cori Grindstaff; and four brothers, Paul, Bill, Ron and Kevin Wood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Brenda.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. Donnie Henson officiating.

Hutchings Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
