JACKSON -- Donald H. Williams, 74, of Jackson died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 20, 1924, at Corning, Ark., son of Ed and Elizabeth Holt Williams. He and Louise Hyland were married June 8, 1946.
Williams was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He worked for Union Oil Co. in Lancaster, Calif. He moved to Neelyville in 1963 where he farmed. He also worked for M & A Electric Cooperative.
In 1980, he sold his farm and moved to Poplar Bluff. He retired in 1982. In 1988, he moved to Jackson.
He was a former member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and a member of Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debra Brooks of Dupo, Ill., and Donna Miller of Jackson; a brother, Louis Williams of Corning, Ark.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Raymond V. Ebbs will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
