MATTHEWS -- Funeral service for Donald Wilburn, Matthews Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Wilburn, 86, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1992, at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born July 22, 1906, in New Madrid County, son of Louis and Nora Hinton Wilburn. He and Zetta Sterling were married Oct. 7, 1946.
Wilburn was a farmer, and member of First Church of God in East Prairie.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ricky Wilburn of East Prairie; two daughters, Sandy Campbell of Matthews, Donna McAnulty of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Louis Wilburn Jr. and Roy Wilburn of Matthews, Lloyd Wilburn of Sikeston; three sisters, Beulah Wilburn, Opal Myers and Helen Stallings, all of East Prairie, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
