ADVANCE -- Donald Ray Wallace Sr., 60, of Advance died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 13, 1940, at Gipsy, son of Burl and Eva Wallace. He and Linda McWhirter were married Oct. 19, 1963, at White Oak.
Wallace retired as a welder with Missouri Dry Dock in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Wallace Jr. of Advance, Christopher Wallace of the home; a daughter, Donna Meador of Advance; his mother and stepfather, Eva and Glen Hood of Gipsy; four brothers, Ronnie Wallace of Chaffee, Harry Hood, Oatis Hood and Doyle Hood of Zalma; three sisters, Lorene Skaggs of Grand Prairie, Texas, Ruby Windeknecht of Perkins, Della Shuffit of Scott City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Hedge officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy.
