PERRYVILLE -- Donald V. Vogel, 79, Perryville, died Friday, June 4, at the DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. He was born July 11, 1913, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Ernst and Susanna Boehme Vogel. He was married to Mildred Lottes Oct. 18, 1940. She preceded him in death April 20, 1972...

PERRYVILLE -- Donald V. Vogel, 79, Perryville, died Friday, June 4, at the DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born July 11, 1913, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Ernst and Susanna Boehme Vogel.

He was married to Mildred Lottes Oct. 18, 1940. She preceded him in death April 20, 1972.

Survivors include sons, Michael Vogel, Kansas City, John Vogel, St. Louis, Joseph Vogel of Plantation, Fla.; daughters Ann Kornblet, St. Louis, Mary Kay Sauer, Perryville, Jane Cooper, Columbia, and Jean Moore of Kansas City.; two sisters, Viola Kipp, Milwaukee, Wis. and Jeanette Boehme of Jackson; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 133 of Perryville, and an Army veteran of World Ware II.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call today at the funeral home after 5:30 p.m.
