Donald Wayne Thompson, 56, of Peru, Ill., died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
He was born Nov. 29, 1949, at Illmo, son of Rudy Martin and Ruie Evelyn Jackson Thompson.
Thompson had been a janitor/maintenance worker at Horizon House. He was formerly of Scott City.
Survivors include his mother of Peru; six brothers, Gene Thompson of Scott City, Frank Thompson of Seneca, Ill., Robert, Tommy and Glenn Thompson of Ottawa, Ill., Richard Thompson of McClure, Ill.; two sisters, Shirley Alexander of Kissimmee, Fla., and Delores Hartgrove of Peru.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with David Daniel and Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
