He was born July 5, 1930, in Jackson, to Donald Omar and Helen A. Morrow Thomas Sr. of Herculaneum, Mo. He played football at Jackson High School.
Donald married Doris Mae Runnels of Oak Ridge, who passed away in February 1992.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
