Donald Eugene Stanley, 58, of Marble Hill, Mo., formerly of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Cape Girardeau, son of Donald Lee and Clarice C. Sander Stanley.
Eugene was a former member of Iona Baptist Church at Oriole, and attended Harmony Congregational Methodist Church near Marble Hill. He enjoyed going to car shows and had a love of motorcycles. He was a member of River City Rodders Club in Cape Girardeau.
Eugene worked at Lenco and Ceramo, and was a truck driver with C&G and Old Dominion.
Survivors include his loving companion of many years, Barbara Steele; a daughter, Mindy Jo (Daron Roberts) Stanley of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Makayla Newman and Chase Roberts of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Donna (Thomas) Watson of Bismarck, Mo., Emma Pinkley and special friend Tim Jokerst of New Offenburg, Mo., Melody (Gus) Harmon and Linda Coomer of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., and April Foeste of Bismarck; three brothers, Timothy (Kathy) Stanley of Bonne Terre, Mo., Bill (Christina) Coomer of Ste. Genevieve and Matthew Foeste of Illinois; two special aunts, Shirley Patrick of Ste. Genevieve and Marie Brown of Neelys Landing; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Foeste, Elwood C. Stanley and Clarence Stanley.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Burns officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Harmony Congregational Methodist Church.
