BARDWELL, Ky. -- Donald K. St. Arbor Sr., 65, of Bardwell died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at the home of his sister in Cairo, Ill. He was born May 5, 1939, at Bardwell, son of Thomas and Jesse Hall St. Arbor. Bardwell was a police officer at Detroit, Mich., before his retirement. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church near Milburn, Ky. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Cairo VFW Post 2649 and Cairo American Legion Post 406...

BARDWELL, Ky. -- Donald K. St. Arbor Sr., 65, of Bardwell died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at the home of his sister in Cairo, Ill.

He was born May 5, 1939, at Bardwell, son of Thomas and Jesse Hall St. Arbor.

Bardwell was a police officer at Detroit, Mich., before his retirement. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church near Milburn, Ky. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Cairo VFW Post 2649 and Cairo American Legion Post 406.

Survivors include five sons, Donald K. St. Arbor II of Arlington, Ky., Douglas St. Arbor of Alton, Ill., David, Dale and Dana St. Arbor, all of Anna, Ill.; two sisters, Juett Hicks of Cairo, Sue Mitchell of Detroit; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Private burial will be in Bardwell Cemetery.

Memorial services are being planned and will be announced at a later date.

Barkett Funeral Home of Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
