ANNA, Ill. -- Donald W. Sharp, 81, of Anna died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.

He was born April 23, 1919, in Anna, son of Agnes Sharp. He and Marjorie Stroehlein were married June 4, 1947, in Cobden, Ill. She died March 24, 1996.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Davidson of DeKalb, Ill.; a son, Jan Sharp of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Tucker of Carterville, Ill.; three brothers, Melvin Brasel of Carterville, Lloyd Brasel of Cobden, Ray Brasel of Anna; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dr. Rick Hertenstein will officiate. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
