DONALD REITER

PUXICO -- Funeral for Donald Reiter of Puxico will be held at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Revs. Don Bates and Wiley McGhee will officiate, with burial in Puxico Cemetery.

Reiter, 80, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born July 17, 1918, at Puxico, son of Joseph and Mattie Lou McDonald Reiter. He and Virginia Hulsey were married May 8, 1946. She died June 28, 1992. He later married Viva Wilkison April 3, 1993. She died July 12, 1994.

Reiter was a retired farmer and house painter. He attended Puxico General Baptist Church, and was a member of Puxico VFW Post 7822. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Larry Reiter of Warrensburg; a daughter, Carol McRoy of Dexter; a sister, Edna Wilkison of Bloomfield; a stepsister, Geraldine Bailey of St. Charles; and four grandchildren.
