Donald Edwin Ostendorf, 76, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Dutchtown, son of Walter and Lorine Keller Ostendorf. He and Rita Clayton were married Aug. 27, 1966.
Donald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 and 4th Degree Assembly 2283, all in Scott City. He was retired from Procter & Gamble.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Ostendorf of Scott City; three sons, David Ostendorf of Scott City, Charles (Maria) Ostendorf of St. Clair, Missouri, and Matthew (Jennifer) Ostendorf of Keiser, Arkansas; two brothers, Glenn (Marilyn) Ostendorf of Gordonville and Tom (Tammy) Ostendorf of Scopus, Missouri; two sisters, Betty (Ronald) Badger of Gordonville and Norma (Jerry) Lancaster of Cape Girardeau; and six granddaughters, Bella, Riley, Joley, Katelyn, Olivia and Valerie.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by Knights of Columbus service at 7:15 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
