Donald Ray Niswonger, 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 4, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, son of Frank and Ivy Statler Niswonger. He and Ruth Ann Craft were married for 44 years, when she passed away in 2004. In 2006 he married Judy Johnson of Cape Girardeau, and she survives.
Donald was a craftsman for Procter & Gamble for 15 years. He retired from Huttig Building Products.
He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and also attended Cape Cowboy Church. He was a very avid antique collector and was a jack-of-all trades. He also loved watching wrestling, but most of all he was a very loving and caring person who loved his family and was always willing to help anybody in need.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Kim (Joe) Ward of Oak Ridge; granddaughter, Lisa (Jeff) McBride of Benton, Missouri; grandson, Dustin Bates (Cindy Anschulz) of Sikeston, Missouri; granddaughter, Kristen (Dustin) Keller of Jackson; stepson, Jeff (Rose Mary) Weibrecht of Perryville, Missouri; six great-grandkids; two great-great-grandkids; stepgranddaughter, Angela (Phillip) Schumer; stepgrandson, Dustin (Hannah) Weibrecht; and a great-step-granddaughter.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wonderful wife, Ruth Ann Niswonger; and his loving daughter, Robin Bates.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Niswonger Cemetery with the Rev. Don Ford officiating.
Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill, Missouri, was in charge of the arrangements.
