Donald McClearn, 70, of Jackson died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 19, 1932, in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Herbert and Luda Hicklin McClearn. He married Emma Lou Paul Oct. 27, 1956. She died Aug. 15, 2001.
He was a veteran of U.S. Navy and served on the USS Hancock. He retired as a truck driver with Teamsters Local No. 800 in St. Louis and had resided in Jackson since 1996.
He was of the Baptist belief and a member of American Legion Post No. 158 in Jackson and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
He is survived by family. He was preceded in death by some siblings.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with DeWayne Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery with military honors.
