BERNIE -- Donald Gene "Mudcat" Lindsey, 61, of Bernie died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at his home.

He was born Oct. 3, 1937, at Bernie, son of Robert Thomas and Gracie Lorene Teeters Lindsey. He and Elizabeth Sue Whitehorn were married Feb. 18, 1961, at Malden.

Lindsey was a truck driver for Eastern Express Trucking Co. at Steele. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife of Malden; two sons, Scott Lindsey of Crofton, Ky., Kevin Lindsey of Dexter; three daughters, Jonelle Everett of Malden, Sandy Robinson of Tulsa, Okla., Donna Lindsey of Dexter; his mother of Bernie; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, a son, and a sister.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Scott Lindsey and the Rev. Jody Gannway will officiate. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
